Watch: Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire On DeKalb Interstate
Fire trucks had to dodge exploding oxygen tanks and other hazards on I-285 at Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb firefighters had to deal with exploding oxygen tanks and other hazards Wednesday night after a tractor-trailer caught fire on I-285 and Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
According to the department, the truck was disabled on the side of the road when a brake caught fire. Traffic was temporarily shut down.
The driver was injured when the truck exploded while he was checking the brake. The truck was carrying oxygen cylinders.

The driver is in critical condition.
