The Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit hits the small screen this week on the TLC Network’s series Women of Homicide. The Atlanta episode airs tomorrow, Wednesday, April 16 at 9 p.m./8 p.m. Central.

The eight-episode series will showcase the work of Atlanta Police homicide investigator Summer Benton, who has been with the department for 11 years and working in the homicide unit for four, according to an April 15 Atlanta Police press release. During her time with the department, she has solved 23 cases and has been honored as Hostage Negotiator for Atlanta.

Chief George Turner said in the statement that the Atlanta Police Homicide Unit has a clearance rate 20 percent above the national average. “Investigator Benton is an integral part of the homicide unit and gives the viewers a small glimpse of what it’s like to be a homicide detective in the City of Atlanta.”
