ATLANTA (May 5, 2014) – OnBoard is the leading authority on women in the boardroom of Georgia public companies and a catalyst to increase the number of female directors on public and private for-profit company boards. The organization will host an event this month promoting both women’s networking and the professional and career development of women.
The event will feature Kenzie Biggins, president and founder of Uniquely Defined, speaking about “Leveraging Generational Differences for Success.” Kenzie developed a love for managing through generational differences while working for Target as a campus recruiter and intern coordinator. It is an interest that has served her well as she runs a social media branding company with a mix of Millennials and Baby Boomers learning to work together.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 15 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Maggiano’s Perimeter, where wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. The event is $30 for members and $55 for non-members. The registration deadline is Friday, May 9. To register, please click here.
OnBoard ( www.onboardnow.org), formerly the Board of Directors Network (BDN), was founded in 1993 with the initial focus of increasing the number of women on corporate boards of both public and private companies. Today, OnBoard has grown into a prestigious organization as the leading authority on women in the boardroom and executive suites of Georgia public companies and publisher of the annual (and first-ever) study on women's progress in holding public board and C-suite positions. OnBoard advocates for women, inspires them to take leadership and connects them to opportunities. Follow us on Twitter @OnBoardGA and LinkedIn.
