Rash of Armed Pedestrian Robberies Hits Buckhead
Freezing temperatures overnight didn’t prevent the continuation of armed pedestrian robberies this week in Buckhead.

According to Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee, two more victims were robbed at gunpoint in separate incidents early Friday morning near Lenox Road.

At approximately 1:20 a.m., APD officers responded to a call in the 900 block of Canterbury Road. There, a female said that she had just arrived at her location and upon exiting her vehicle, she was approached by two black males armed with handguns.

The males robbed the victim of her phone and wallet and then left the scene. While officers were speaking with the woman, they were approached by a man who advised that he had been robbed around the same time that the female had been.

The man advised that he was retrieving something from his vehicle when he was approached by two black men armed with handguns. The men robbed the victim of his phone and property before leaving the scene.

The robberies appear to have been committed by the same individuals according to Chafee. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspects.

Police provided no description of the suspects, and at this time the investigation continues.

Friday's armed pedestrian robberies follow others in the past week in Buckhead including:
