Nurse Found Dead Inside Car At Northside Hospital Cherokee
BREAKING: Canton police say the discovery was made Tuesday evening in the parking deck.

CANTON, GA — Canton police are investigating the discovery of a body that was found Tuesday evening in the parking lot of Northside Hospital-Cherokee.
The woman, a 44-year-old nurse who worked at the hospital, was found inside her vehicle by a security guard, said Canton Police Department spokesperson Pacer Cordry.
"The security guard was looking for her," Cordry told Patch. "She didn't show up for work."

Pacer said there are no indications of foul play or obvious medical conditions that may have contributed to her death. However, an autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.
"At this point it doesn't look suspicious," he added.

Northside Hospital spokesperson Katherine Watson said the off-duty nurse was found in the hospital's parking deck.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own," she added. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the nurse’s family, friends and co-workers."
While he can say the nurse lived in Acworth, Pacer said her identity has not been released at this time, as police are working to identify all the pertinent family members.
