Body Of Missing Woman Found In Allatoona Lake
The Cobb County woman's body was recovered early Sunday afternoon near Park Marina in Bartow County.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA -- The body of a Cobb County woman who was reported missing on Friday has been recovered from Allatoona Lake in Bartow County.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement game wardens located the body of Rhonda Tibbs, 55, of Smyrna around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, agency spokesperson Mark McKinnon told Patch.
Tibbs was last seen Friday evening on the dock at Park Marina, which is located in the Acworth area of the county.

After receiving the missing person’s report, officers began searching for the woman "immediately," McKinnon said.
The search continued throughout the day on Saturday and resumed at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Game wardens utilized sonar equipment and a remote-operated vehicle as part of their search efforts, McKinnon added.
