Driver Cited in 3-Vehicle Crash In Cartersville
One vehicle overturned as a result of the accident Feb. 27 on U.S. 41 at Gentilly Boulevard.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- New details have been released in a three-vehicle accident that injured as many people Monday afternoon in Cartersville.
Cartersville police have released the accident report of the crash, which was reported around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
According to the report, the first vehicle was traveling northbound on U.S. 41/S.R. 3/Joe Frank Harris Parkway and was trying to make a left turn at the intersection of Gentilly Boulevard. The second car was traveling southbound, approaching the Gentilly Boulevard, while a third vehicle was facing westbound on Gentilly Boulevard at the intersection.

According to the report, the driver of the first car said she "did not see" the second vehicle. The driver of the second car added she "had the green light and proceeded through the intersection" when the first car attempted to make the left turn.
The driver of the third vehicle confirmed to police that the first vehicle pulled out in front of the second vehicle, overturned and eventually collided with her vehicle, the report adds.

The driver of the first car was cited for failure to yield when turning left, and was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment for injuries to her arm.
According to the report, the second driver complained of facial injuries, and was also transported to the hospital. A passenger inside that vehicle was diagnosed with a broken left hand and facial injuries and was also taken to the Cartersville hospital for follow-up care.
The driver of the third car, according to the report, "complained of injuries to her knee but refused treatment."
