The crash was reported just before 2 p.m. Tuesday in Euharlee, which is west of Cartersville.
EUHARLEE, GA -- A small plane has crashed in a neighborhood in the western Bartow County town of Euharlee.
Kathleen Bergen, communications manager with the Federal Aviation Administration, said a Cessna 172 aircraft with two people on board crashed into a subdivision in the town west of Cartersville around 1:50 p.m. April 18.
Bartow County EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran said crews responded to the crash on Milam Bridge Road. Crews arrived to find the small, two-seat plane with "heavy damage."

The crew launched its search and found the two patients, he added. An air-life helicopter was dispatched for support. The first patient, a male, was found to have "numerous trauma injuries," and crews went to work treating the crash victim on the scene.
His care was released to the helicopter crew, and he was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment, Cothran stated.

The second patient, also a male, was conscious, but also suffered numerous injuries, Cothran added. A quick assessment of the patient was done and treatment was started. He was subsequently transported by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center in Rome for follow-up care.
FAA administrators are en route to the scene, and the National Transportation Safety Board will determine a probable cause of the crash, Bergen told Patch.
