Robber: 'Old Man, Don't Make Me Kill You'

A man staying at a local motel was robbed at gunpoint Friday night as he walked home on East Felton Road, he told Cartersville police.

The 47-year-old man said a young man approached him near an auto repair shop at 107 E. Felton Road about 11 p.m., pulled a silver gun out of his pocket and pointed it at the victim's face, according to the incident report.

"Old man, don't make me kill you," said the robber, who appeared to be 18 to 20 years old. "Give me your wallet. Don't make me hurt you."

The victim handed over his $35 wallet, which he said contained $160 in cash. He said the robber, an African-American man about 5-feet-8-inches tall and wearing clothing bearing the emblem of pro football team the New Orleans Saints, ran toward Carmike Cinemas.
