Two Charged in Cartersville Business Burglaries, Thefts

Several businesses along East and West Felton roads and Joe Frank Harris Parkway were targeted.

Two suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to multiple thefts and burglaries targeting local businesses.

Investigators with the Cartersville Police Department on April 9 arrested Gregory Allen Morris, 32, and Brittany Ann Ruth, 23 and charged them with multiple counts of theft by taking, criminal damage to property and burglary, Cartersville Police Chief Thomas Culpepper said.

Businesses targeted in the crime spree include Merry Maids at 121 E. Felton Road; Raintree Properties at 129 E. Felton Road; Howren Properties (the old Cloverleaf School) at 71 West Felton Road); Full Throttle Pawn at 1350 Joe Frank Harris Parkway; and the Rollins Child Development Center at 216 E. Felton Road.

Culpepper noted Cartersville police investigators worked closely with Bartow County Sheriff’s Office investigators and members of the Cobb County Police Department to solve these crimes and execute the arrests.

While these arrests have been made, Culpepper stated the cases remain under investigation.
