You can either submit your application via U.S. Mail or by visiting the school of your choice on any Wednesday during the month of March.

According to the Atlanta Public Schools website, the lottery funded prekindergarten program is governed by 'Bright from the Start' and adheres to all program guidelines.
APS partners with Bright from the Start to provide age appropriate instructional programs that prepare students for success beyond prekindergarten. Additionally, a nurturing environment is provided to address students' social and emotional needs while preparing students for kindergarten readiness. Our goal is to ensure that all students gain the needed foundational skills to propel them into a successful future.
Lottery Application Process requirements:
- Child must live in the Atlanta Public Schools attendance zone
- Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2013
To determine eligibility, the parent or guardian must complete a 2013 Lottery Application and bring proof of residency (electric, gas or water bill, an apartment lease or mortgage statement) to the Pre-K school site into which they would like to enroll. Proof of residency must be in the parent/guardians name. If you are selected, an affidavit of residency will be required if your proof of residency is not in your name.
