Great American Cleanup April 12 in Forsyth

Patch Staff Report

Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) encourages everyone to organize a group of volunteers or come as an individual to help remove litter from the roadways in our community as part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 12.

Volunteers will meet in the large pavilion at Fowler Park at 9 a.m. to begin Forsyth County’s Great American Cleanup. Following a brief rally, volunteers will depart to clean up roadways in the community for two hours before returning to the large pavilion at Fowler Park for food and fun.

“This annual cleanup event, held in conjunction with the nationwide Great American Cleanup, is a fantastic opportunity for citizens, community organizations, businesses or clubs to really make a positive impact on our efforts to make Forsyth County litter free,” Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright said in a news release.

Please pre-register via phone at 770-205-4573 or email at KFCBGAC@gmail.com by Thursday, April 10, in order to receive detailed information required to participate.

Fowler Park is located at 4110 Carolene Way, off of Atlanta Highway across from the intersection with Castleberry Road.
