Mascots Chosen For New Forsyth County Schools
Denmark High, DeSana Middle and Brandywine Elementary schools also got their school colors.

CUMMING, GA -- Hey, Forsyth County ... say hello to the Danes.
That will be the nickname for Denmark High School, which is set to open in southwest Forsyth in 2018.
The Forsyth County News reports that nicknames and colors have been announced for the school, as well as an elementary and middle school set to open in the same area.

Denmark High is being built between McFarland Parkway, Union Hill Road and Hwy. 9.
Principals at Forsyth County's five existing high schools selected "Danes" for Denmark High. The school is named for the late Leia Denmark, one of the first female doctors in Georgia who practiced near where the school will stand.

Denmark High's colors will be Carolina blue, navy and silver.
DeSana Middle School's mascot will be the Dragons, and school colors will be bright blue and green, with silver accents.
Brandywine Elementary students will be the Badgers. Their colors will be burgundy, black, gray and white.
Both of those schools are set to open next year.
