The Dacula City Council has appointed a replacement for former councilman Greg Reeves, who resigned last month amid a criminal investigation.
The council unanimously voted to appoint Donna Peairs to the vacant seat at its June 5 meeting, the city announced on its website.
Reeves was arrested in March for using a city-issued credit card for $3,600 in personal expenses. He is facing felony theft charges.
Peairs will serve the remainder of Reeves’ term, which ends Dec. 31, 2017.
