Still Time to Commit to 'Community Makeover'

Service projects happening this weekend in five counties, including Paulding, are still in need of volunteers. Though the "Community Makeover" campaign is officially under way, those wishing to help have a chance to do so.

Though today is the first day of "Community Makeover"—, including Paulding—one of the organizers says those who have not yet officially joined the efforts on the campaign's website but who wish to help still have a chance to make an impact.

Dallas-Hiram Patch spoke to Paul Richardson, director of Community Makeover's sponsoring organization, Engage Atlanta, Wednesday afternoon regarding the campaign. Watch the video attached to this article to learn more.

About 100 churches from the counties of Paulding, Cobb, Polk, Fulton and Douglas are involved.

At the conclusion of this weekend, a night of celebration is set for Sunday at 7 p.m. in front of the in Dallas.
