What: Morehouse School of Medicine Girls Can Town Hall and Healthy Living Community Engagement Day

Where: Morehouse School of Medicine

Details: Morehouse School of Medicine will host an event dedicated to reducing health disparities, increasing awareness of health issues and providing health screenings. This event will kick off with a town hall entitled Girls Can, focusing on empowering women and girls to take charge of their health. The town hall will be hosted by journalist and producer Soledad O’Brien and is sponsored by CoverGirl® and Planned Parenthood. Immediately following the town hall, MSM will host a community health fair with screenings, fitness demonstrations, information on healthy living and community resources, and interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) exhibits and experiments for youth. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the City of Atlanta Fire Rescue Department will be onsite with additional services and information.
