UPDATE: Volunteers Needed to Help Move Furniture, Set Up Apartment for Refugees

The Inman Park United Methodist Church is setting up an apartment for four Somali refugees on Saturday, Jan. 11 2014. 

The four young men arrive Jan. 14 and the church seeks volunteers to help load the truck and/or help set up the apartment which is in Avondale Estates.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m.Saturday at Inman Park UMC, 1015 Edgewood Ave. in Atlanta to help load up the truck.

If you want to help unload at the apartment, the truck should arrive at about 10 a.m. That address is at: the Willow Ridge Apartment Complex, 3548 Rockbridge Road, Unit No. 680, Avondale Estates.

Volunteers also are needed to help decorate and stage the apartment, prepare meals, go shopping and other tasks.
