Business leaders from around the state were in attendance this morning at the Georgia World Congress Center to hear Governor Nathan Deal discuss the Georgia Chamber's 2014 legislative priorities.

Deal spoke on topics including economic development, education, energy and environment, health care, legal reform and transportation. Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle and Speaker David Ralston participated in a panel discussion moderated by Roy Robinson, chair of the GA Chamber of Government Affairs Council.

“GreyStone is heavily involved in our region’s economic development activities," said Tim Williams, VP of Corporate and External Affairs with GreyStone Power. "We are seeing slow but positive growth in many sectors and are cautiously optimistic, just as Governor Deal and other state officials stated, that the economy is turning around for the better and moving at a sustainable pace.”

“The Eggs and Issues Breakfast is a great way for the Douglas County Chamber to jump into the legislative session and understand the priorities of our state’s top elected leaders," said Kali Boatright, president and CEO, Douglas County Chamber of Commerce. "That understanding helps the Chamber better represent the voices of our own businesses and that of our community at the state level.”
