St. Julian’s Episcopal Church Calls Father Brandon Duke as Priest

St. Julian’s Episcopal Church has called a new Priest, Father Brandon Duke. Father Duke will begin his service to St. Julian’s and the Douglas County community on July 1st.

Father Brandon, as he is called, graduated from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, and attended Sewanee / University of the South’s School of Theology’s Anglican Studies program. He has served as a Chaplain in homeless and hospital ministries.

A native of Texas, Father Brandon is married to Ann and they together parent their three-year-old son, Henry. Father Brandon was ordained last Saturday, June 21st, in services at The Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta.

Father Brandon is passionate about listening to people’s stories. He says “we are meaning-making people, always trying to make sense out of life and what life throws at us. It is my belief that by joining our stories with the stories of God, we get to participate in a divine mystery that ultimately begins with relationship.”

Father Brandon’s first services at St. Julian’s will be Sunday, July 6th, at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and the Public is invited.
