Davis Prepares for Annual Dunwoody State of the City Address

Dunwoody Mayor Mike Davis is set to present his annual State of the City address on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Dunwoody.

Davis said this year's address will focus on new goals and opportunities for the city in 2013.

“In 2012 we were actively engaged in the enhancement of our community’s basic needs for public safety and transportation accessibility,” he said. “Our successes over the past year include improvements to our roads and traffic, upgrades of our park amenities, growth of new and existing commercial business and the financial health of our city’s resources.

"Our vision for the future is to implement the plans and ideas of our community and help Dunwoody become an even better place to live, work and play.”

This year’s festivities kick off with a public reception beginning at 6 pm, followed by the address scheduled for 7 pm.

Guest speaker for the event is Bryan Tate, CEO and founder of Digitel.

The annual event is made possible through donations of event sponsors. This year’s Platinum and VIP sponsors are Jacobs and Northside Hospital.

Additional participating Gold sponsors for this event include: Atlanta Property Group, Bank of North Georgia, BB&T, City of Dunwoody, Clark Patterson Lee, Costco, Dunwoody Development Authority, Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Perimeter College, InterDev, JAT, Jim Ellis Group, Keller Williams Commercial, Lowe Engineers, Perimeter Community Improvement Districts, Rotary Club of Dunwoody, SunTrust, Tin Lizzy's, and Wells Fargo.
