New Lecture Series Gives Nonpartisan Take on U.S. Foreign Policy
The series will be held 7:30-9 p.m., Thursdays, at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
The series is based on a briefing book published annually by the nonpartisan Foreign Policy Association and encourages participants to develop an informed opinion on the role the United States should play in world affairs.
Topics include: Israel and the U.S., Islamic Awakening, Energy Independence, Turkey’s Challenges, Defense Technology, Food and Climate, China’s Foreign Policy, and U.S. Trade Policy.
The series will be held 7:30-9 p.m., Thursdays, starting this week through March 6. The cost is $30, which includes the book, or $40 if the book is shared with a companion. Dunwoody United Methodist Church is located at 1548 Mount Vernon Road.
The series is presented by the Georgia Council for International Visitors. According to its website, the mission of GCIV is to create valuable international experiences and opportunities for the people of Georgia and emerging leaders around the world.
