Lantern Parade Workshop Tonight in Grant Park

by Patch Staff

In preparation of Grant Park's upcoming Ghost Lantern Parade, the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons is hosting a workshop at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, in the Grant Park Recreation Center, 537 Park Ave. SE.

The workshop is designed to help parade participants craft their lanterns for the upcoming parade on Oct. 27 through Grant Park.

The Grant Park Conservancy is hosting it as well as a kids' costume parade.

The kids' costume parade starts at 5 p.m., followed by picnics at the gazebo in the park at 6:30 p.m., and then the lantern parade at 7:30 p.m.

Lanterns need to be made and now is a good time to get started.

If you plan to come to the workshop, please contact Chantelle Rytter at: c@gratefulgluttons.com.
