MLK Library Events in Cobb

Saturday's "Quilting for Peace" and story time program at Mountain View Regional Library is part of the month-long celebration.

MLK Library Events in Cobb

The Cobb County Public Library System will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with special activities for kids, including the following events:

  • Saturday, January 12: Quilting for Peace, 3 p.m. at Mountain View Regional Library. Help create an unique and colorful paper quilt that reflects Dr. King's hopes and dreams for civil rights. The quilt will be displayed in the Children's Department. We'll also read a story that celebrates his life. This program is appropriate for ages 7 to 12 years.   • Tuesday, January 22: I Have a Dream, 4 p.m. at the Vinings Library. Join us for a story time celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will read stories, sing songs, and make a craft to take home. Ages 5 and up.   • Wednesday, January 23: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Program, 3:30 p.m. at the South Cobb Regional Library. We will celebrate with books, songs, and music. Ages 5 years and up. For more information, please call the library at (678) 398-5834.
