Brownie Troop 11400 has a group of happy girls who have so much fun when they are together. They have spent the year laughing as they participated in crafts, games, activities and even learning when they did not even realize they were doing it.
The girls have learned basic sewing, color mixing, first aid and many great facts as they took hikes on the nature trails in a local neighborhood. They participated in World Thinking Day with the Cherokee Rose Girl scouts where they taught other scouts about facts, clothing and food from Mexico. Most recently these girls made hidden treasure pillows to help entertain children who are at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
The troop has about nine girls in it and they just completed their first year as a Brownie troop. They have a few spots open for rising third graders who would like to join them. The troop meets at and has students from Macedonia, Avery and the home school environment. For information on joining on on the fun, please contact Jessica Phillips, the troop leader by email.
