Whiz Kids: Primrose Weather Kids

This week, Kennesaw Patch would like to recognize some inquisitive minds from Primrose School of Kennesaw North.

In recognition of National Safety Awareness Week in June, summer camp children from learned about the do's and don'ts of storm safety. To show off how smart they are, they invited The Weather Channel meteorologist, Jen Carfagno, to their school.

The Weather Channel filmed the children during interviews with Carfagno in which she asked the children some storm safety related questions. Carfagno then incorporated the Primrose children into segments of her 4-hour national weather channel programming on Saturday morning.

The kids were excited to see themselves on television as budding local celebrities. Perhaps one of these children is a future meteorologist.

In preparation for Carfagno’s visit, the children studied about weather safety awareness and related issues. Join our Kennesaw Patch community in recognizing these kids and their accomplishments.

To learn more about weather safety along with the Primrose children, test your own Whiz Kid knowledge of weather safety by visiting http://www.mos.org/sln/toe/safety.html.
