Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology was listed No. 3 on the 2014 Best High School Rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

The Lawrenceville school was ranked behind the School for the Talented and Gifted in Dallas, Texas, and BASIS Scottsdale, Arizona. More than 19,000 schools were ranked by the news organization; 104 Georgia schools were considered among the nation’s best.

GSMST was tops in Georgia, ahead of Davidson Fine Arts in Augusta and DeKalb School of the Arts in Avondale Estates.

The next highest-ranked Gwinnett school was Norcross High, which was 18th (507th nationally).

U.S. News awarded gold, silver and bronze medals based on state assessments and college preparation. Gold and silver medalists made the rankings; others received national recognition.
