The Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Gwinnett County until 2:45 p.m. today came and went with little impact on Lilburn.

Still, there remains a chance for strong storms though the evening, potentially impacting Lilburn's Star-Spangled Celebration concert and fireworks in City Park. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service says scattered strong-to-severe storms could produce quarter-sized hail, wind gusts to 40 mph and cloud-to-ground lightning.
