ICYMI: 3-Year-Old in Foster Home Found Dead in Pool
Walton County deputies were at the home, near Loganville, when the boy's foster mother discovered him floating in the pool.

LOGANVILLE, GA -- A 3-year-old boy living in a foster home was found dead in his foster family's pool Monday, authorities say.
According to a Walton County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were called to a home near Loganville at 9:16 a.m. Monday. A woman, whose name the office is not revealing, told them her foster child was missing.
She said she last saw the boy at about 6:30 a.m. The boy had come into her bedroom and she told him that it was too early and to go back to bed, according to the report.

When she woke again at about 9 a.m., she said, she found the boy had not gone back to bed, as he had in the past.
The woman told deputies that her front door and garage were locked, but that a back door may have been left unlocked.

Deputies reported that, as they were searching the home, they heard screaming from outside.
They found the woman in the backyard, screaming, "He's in the pool! He's in the pool!" according to the report. When they arrived, the woman had the boy, apparently unconscious, on the deck with her.
An officer began administering CPR, which was taken over by EMS technicians when they arrived. The boy was transported to Clearview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No charges have been filed in the incident as of Tuesday afternoon.
