Loganville Mayor Nunley to Resign

Citing health issues, Loganville Mayor Ray Nunley will tender his resignation, according to city officials. A special called meeting will be held Wednesday to discuss how the city will proceed.

Nunley was diagnosed with lung cancer late last year and he has been undergoing treatment ever since. He announced during his State of the City address that he would not be seeking reelection in 2013, and Vice Mayor Dan Curry subsequently announced he would seek the post.
