CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: March 25, 2015

Zone 1
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Liberty Hill Church / H D Atha Rd and Michael Etchison Rd. in reference to vehicles spinning tires in the parking lot of the church and tire tracks being left in yards in the area.

Arrest – Sandra Maughon was arrested in the area of Grove Wine and Spirits for DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, and Improper Backing following a private property accident.

Arrest – Rick Howard was arrested for a Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following the service of a civil paper at a residence on Old Hwy 138.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Cornish Mountain Church Rd. due to speeding vehicles in the area during the late afternoon and night hours.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Monroe Jersey Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Damage to Property - A group of juveniles were reportedly shooting out windows with a BB gun at a residence on Wood Chase Dr. Contact made with one of the three juveniles. Juvenile turned over to guardian.

Arrest – Jackie Vining and Lauren Wright were both arrested for an outstanding warrant at a residence on Twin Pines Rd.

Zone 2
Suspicious Person – A black male subject posing as a utility worker reportedly came to a residence on Grady Lemonds Rd. Subject was reportedly driving a white passenger car and was wearing blue pants.

Theft Report – Copper wire and a jet ski were reportedly taken between 6:00 p.m. on 03/25/15 and 1:00 p.m. on 03/26/15. Extra patrol was requested.

Damage to Property – The water hose in a vehicle at a residence on Hickory Nut Way was reportedly cut sometime in the past three days. Extra patrol requested.

Hit and Run Accident – A light colored SUV reportedly ran the stop sign in the area of Whitney Rd. and Arnold Dairy Farm Rd. and collided with another vehicle. SUV left the scene of the accident and continued east on Whitney Rd.

Accident with Pedestrian – An intoxicated female subject at Newton Medical reported that she had been reportedly struck by a vehicle in the area of East Hightower Trail. Minor injuries.

Zone 3
Firearms – Firearms were reportedly discharged in the area of Bethany Church Rd.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to multiple alarms at Harmony Elementary School. School checked. Everything okay. Extra patrol requested.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Bethany Church Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Crystal Brook Ct. Alarm set off my mistake.

Zone 4
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at a residence on Broach Rd. during the night hours after 11:00 p.m. due to subjects reportedly coming on property.

Burglary – A residence on Old Athens Hwy. was reportedly entered between 03/25/15 and 03/27/15. Some items were reportedly taken.

Arrest – Russell Barnes was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Barrow County. Subject turned over to Walton County.

Theft Report – An iPod was reportedly stolen at Carver Middle School. Reported stolen later in the day at a residence on Louise Dr.

Firearms – Firearms were reportedly discharged in the area of Old Athens Hwy. Deputy observed fireworks in the area. Unable to locate source.

Chase – Georgia State Patrol engaged in a foot chase in the area of Hwy 78 with a subject with outstanding warrants. No contact with subject.

Suspicious Vehicle – An ATV was reportedly seen traveling down a driveway of a residence on Wall Rd. with no lights on.

Damage to Property – Front door to a residence on Parklake Ct. was reportedly kicked and damaged. No entry was made.

Loud Music – Loud music reported in the area of Carl Moon Rd. Subject was asked to turn music down.

Firearms – Several shots were heard in the area of Doster Ave. No contact was made.

Zone 5
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Piney Grove Rd. and Summit Ct. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Rd. and Charleston Ave. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Providence Club Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Raymonds Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Suspicious Vehicle – A newer model, white F150 was reportedly speeding down Dogwood Dell, honking the horn. Subject came back to Etchison Rd. and the driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and began hitting a Volvo tractor trailer with an object.
No contact with driver of F150.

Firearms – Two gunshots were reportedly heard in the area of Richmond Place around4:25 a.m. Extra patrol requested.

Structure Fire – A barn at a residence on Hudson Rd. caught fire. Total loss.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on N Crosslane Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Etchison Rd. reference to Juveniles mud bogging.

Damage to Property/Theft Report - Two community mailboxes were reportedly damaged in the area of Etchison Rd. Mail was reportedly stolen from one of the mailboxes. A white male in a green vehicle was seen near the boxes earlier in the day.

Unknown Problem – A female was reportedly heard screaming in the area of Oakridge Terrace. No contact was made.

Zone 6
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested at Hope Community Fellowship Church on Hwy 20 at Bailey Circle due to all the lights being found on. It appeared someone entered through a rear door. Nothing taken. Extra patrol requested during evening hours.

Suspicious Vehicle – Subject in a black, Jeep Cherokee was reportedly blocking the entrance to the Youth Mobile Home Park. Subject reportedly cussed at complainant when asked to move. No contact with vehicle.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 78. Business checked. Everything okay.

Arrest – Edward Pelly was arrested for DUI in the area of Hwy 78.

Other Law – A 1994 Buick Regal was reportedly moved between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. No damage done to vehicle and nothing was taken. Extra patrol requested.

Road Rage – Incident of road rage occurred in Dekalb County but came into Walton County. Contact made with both vehicles involved. Parties released pending further investigation by Dekalb County.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 78. Business checked. Everything okay.

Arrest – Mallory Sutton was arrested for DUI of drugs and other traffic charges in the area of Hwy 78 and Sardis Church Rd.

Zone 7
Arrest – Russell Payne was arrested on Hwy 81 for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County.

Dispute – Walton County deputies responded to a dispute that started at Criswell Park and moved to Pirklefield Dr. Tyler Scheie was charged with Criminal Trespass, Lacey Myers was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Michelle Myers was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Abbi Havard was charged with Disorderly Conduct as a result of the dispute.

Arrest – John Wood was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the area of H D Atha Rd. and Jefferson Plantation.

Arrest – Christine Smith was arrested for DUI in the area of Michael Etchison Rd. and Hwy 138.

Arrest – Toby Tullis was arrested at a residence on By Pass Rd. for outstanding warrants out of Walton County.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of the creek on Nunnally Farm Rd. in reference to people dumping trash on the side of the roadway and mud bogging in yards.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Walnut Grove High School. School checked. Everything okay.
