CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: April 8, 2015 – April 12, 2015


Zone 1
Accident – Traffic backed up on Hwy 138 regarding an overturned tractor trailer. Accident occurred in Newton County.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of P J East Rd. due to vehicles drag racing during the early evening and night time hours.

Theft Report – A trailer with lawn equipment was taken from a residence on Kraddle Kreek Dr. between 5:30 p.m. on 04/08/2015 and 8:00 a.m. on 04/09/2015.

Burglary Report – A bow and a pair of jeans were reportedly taken from a residence on Kraddle Kreek Dr.

Theft Report – Several members of the Buckhead Hunting Club reportedly had firearms stolen from the hunting lodge in the area of Jersey Social Circle Rd. between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 04/10/2015.

Accident – A silver, Dodge truck was located off the roadway in the area of Ammons Bridge Rd. and Claiborne Way. Driver was gone on arrival. Scene was turned over to Georgia State Patrol.

Recovered Property – Guns were recovered from a theft that occurred on 04/10/15 at a hunting lodge in the area of Jersey Social Circle Rd.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a church on Hwy 138. Church checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 138. Business checked. Everything okay.

Suspicious Vehicle – A grey, GMC or Pontiac passenger vehicle has reportedly been going in and out of a subdivision in area of Sterling Water Dr. This occurs in the early morning hours. Extra patrol requested.

Zone 2
Burglary Report – A Remington 870 shotgun was reportedly taken from inside a barn on H D Atha Rd. sometime between August and 04/09/2015.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Parkwood Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Speeding Auto – A white, Chevrolet truck is reportedly speeding through the neighborhood in the area of Sweet Briar Rd. Vehicle was gone on arrival when deputy arrived. Contact made with driver’s brother.

Zone 3
Arrest – Quadarriaus Little was arrested for an outstanding warrant at a residence on Davis St.

Fire Assist – Walton County deputy assisted Fire Department with putting out a dumpster fire at a business on Old Monroe Madison Hwy.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Jim Daws Rd. and Mountain Creek Church Rd. due to vehicles drag racing.

Arrest – Robert Bradley was arrested for Disorderly Conduct at a residence on Magnolia Ridge following an altercation.


Zone 4
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Old Athens Hwy. and Mountain Creek Church Rd. due to vehicles drag racing in the area.

Fraud – Subject at a residence on Emmett Doster Rd. reportedly received a Green Dot card and taxes were reportedly filed using his social security number.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Michael Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Accident – A single vehicle accident occurred in the area of Jack Glass Rd. and Ponderosa Trl. Vehicle struck a barricade. Walton County deputies handled the accident.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was reportedly entered and items taken at a residence on Hwy 78. The door to the residence was also reportedly damaged.

Zone 5
Identity Theft – An identity fraud report was requested at a residence on Forest Falls Dr. due to fraud on a tax return.

Theft Report- Residence (rental property) on Nathan Blvd. reportedly had several items missing when checked by property owner.

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Grady Smith Rd. due to unknown person(s) ringing doorbells and reportedly trying to open back doors to some of the residences during the night time hours.

Arrest - Jamie Fletcher was arrested for drug charges at the Stone Mountain Pecan Factory due to a complaint of a suspicious person reportedly sitting on the front porch of the store.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Greenridge Ln. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Accident – A single vehicle accident occurred in the area of Jennifer Springs Way. Vehicle struck a fence. Accident handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle – A company vehicle parked inside the locked gate at a business on Troy Smith Rd. was found to have the blinker on. Attempted contact with key holder
No gate code available. No contact with key holder.

Theft Report – A Glock 31 handgun was reportedly taken from a residence on Tanners Bridge Rd. Incident occurred sometime within the last five months.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Old Zion Cemetery Rd. and Loganville City Limits. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Suspicious Vehicle – A side by side ATV was reportedly driving reckless and running over agent signs in Ashland Falls Subdivision. Driver was warned not to drive vehicle on the roadway.

Suspicious Vehicle – Juveniles were reportedly seen riding dirt bikes in Ansley Forest area. Walton County deputies contacted grandparents of juveniles and advised them not to allow juveniles to operate dirt bikes on the roadway.

Dispute – Subject at a residence on Forest Falls Dr. reportedly had a dispute between herself and an unknown white male driver of a white, Chevrolet Camaro after she approached the white male driver about speeding in the neighborhood. No contact made with driver.

Disturbing the Peace – Fireworks were reportedly being shot in the area of Nancy Way and Hwy 78.

Loud Music – Loud music was reported in the area of Tennyson Dr.

Accident – A single vehicle accident occurred in the area of Troy Smith Rd. Driver was gone on arrival. Driver located and charged with DUI. Accident scene was handled by Georgia State Patrol.

Entering Auto – A vehicle was reportedly entered at a residence on June Ivey Rd. The door handle and lock were damaged. Nothing was reportedly taken.

Discharging Firearms – Firearms reportedly discharged in the area of Holly Stand Ct. No contact made.

Zone 6
Arrest – Sean Murphy was arrested for Driving while License Suspended and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign as a result of a traffic stop in the area of McCullers Rd. and GA 20.

Arrest – Calvin Tanner Murphy was arrested in the area of Hwy 81 and Tig Knight Rd. for DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane as the result of a traffic stop.

Identity Theft – Subject on Dove Dr. reportedly received a Green Dot card in the mail in relation to the Blue Cross Blue Shield data hack.

Fraud – Subject at a residence on Cedar Dr. reportedly received a check for a large amount of money from someone he met on a dating website.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Marce Camp Rd. and Atkinson Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Two arrests were made as a result of the safety check.

Entering Auto – A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly entered between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at a residence on Creekwood Dr. Change and a pair of Ray ban sunglasses were reportedly taken.

Entering Auto- A Magellan GSP was reportedly taken from a vehicle on Creekwood Dr. Incident occurred during the evening hours of 04/08/2015.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Sandy Creek Circle. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Zone 7
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Thompson Rd. at Clay Dr. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Two arrests were made as a result of the safety check.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Jordan Ct. Residence checked. Everything okay.

Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a business on Guthrie Cemetery Rd. Business checked. Everything okay.
