Fans tuned in Monday hoping to see student move on to the next round in NBC’s “The Voice,” but it was not to be. The popular teen country singer didn’t make the final cut that would have allowed him to move on to the live rounds. But Rager was still upbeat about the whole experience.

“I learned that your plan doesn’t always line up with God’s plan,” he said. “I wanted to go farther in the show than just the Battles, but God had a bigger plan so I’m just gonna go along for the ride.”

Rager said despite not getting to participate in the live rounds, just being chosen and making it as far as he did has helped advance his career.

“Doing the show has been an incredible blessing for my career. My Twitter & Facebook numbers show that,” Rager said. “Just since the first of February, when Season 2 started, my fan base following has grown 400 percent as of today!   Being on 'The Voice' was great exposure for me and it gave me credibility  - and for that part I want to thank NBC & ‘The Voice.’”

So what’s next? For the LHS student that would be finishing up his senior year.

“Graduation is first and foremost – then I will follow my music career full time,” he said. “This year is going to be big for me. Got a lot of huge things coming up in 2012 so ya’ll keep with me cuz I ain’t slowin down just yet.”

His proud parents are prepared to be with him, every step of the way.

"His daddy and I could not be more proud," said his mother, Connie Rager. "We have seen him mature as a person and an artist and it makes our hearts happy to watch Jordan get to do what he loves and is passionate about. Ultimately, we would love to see Jordan with a record deal and touring, because that is his heart's desire.

This up-and-coming country star's parents believe that will happen, "when it's time."
