Atlanta Police investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in an armed robbery and carjacking that occurred two weeks ago outside the westside’s at 1058 Howell Mill Road.

The APD has released composite sketches of the suspects, who reportedly robbed a West End man and a Virginia Highland woman as they exited the club during the early morning hours of July 28.

The incident is the latest in a series of armed robberies and attempted crimes on the westside near Howell Mill and Brady Avenue.

After departing the club around 2 a.m., Nickolas Green was opening the car door of his 2006 Ford Mustang for his girlfriend when they were approached by two black males, one who was brandishing a black pistol.

“He said, ‘give us all your [expletive] or I’ll blow your brains out,”’ Green told Patch.

The victims complied, giving up their wallet, purse and cell phones. The suspects then stole the vehicle, which also contained two laptop computers, one valued at $2,000 according to Green.

A sedan, parked across the street, also sped off in the same direction as the suspects did as they drove away in the stolen vehicle on Brady away from Howell Mill.

Another man driving by at the time witnessed the crime and called police. According to Green, his stolen vehicle was recovered about a week later after sustaining severe damage including broken windows and damage to engine parts under the hood.

“It’s definitely made me more aware, but it’s infuriating when after researching you see how much criminal activity is going on over there (on the Westside),” Green said.

The suspect with the gun is described as a black male standing between 5-foot-9 and five-foot-11, weighing approximately 165 pounds and with a medium complexion. The other suspect is described as a black male standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, and like the first, is described as “younger in age.”

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Information can be submitted anonymously and you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
