Navigating Music Midtown Inside & Out

The highly-anticipated Music Midtown returns this weekend and welcomes some of music’s biggest artists to Piedmont Park. If you haven’t downloaded and surfed over your new Music Midtown App just yet, this has you covered. Courtesy of 360 Media, Inc., here's some quick pointers to help navigate through the next couple of days and a memorable Music Midtown 2012 experience.

Let’s get you in the know:

Besides the big musical draw, Music Midtown is about the local community. Here you will be able to load up on artist merch, meet your favorite DJ in radio row, enjoy a local artisan’s wares or stop by a sponsor booth for sampling, swag and more.

Need to grab some cash at the festival, no worries we will have 20 ATMs throughout the festival site for patrons to access.

Onsite ticket sales begin on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at event entrances. The gates will open on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday at noon. Day of show General Admission ticket prices will increase to $65 for a one-day pass. Super VIP prices, VIP and two-day ticket prices will remain the same and no additional fees.

Here’s the camera low-down, non-professional recording devices ie; point and shoots are permitted and only those with media credentials are permitted to use professional camera equipment ie: extended lenses etc. and gain access to the photo pit.

Music Midtown does offer a wide array of food and beverages prepared onsite for your enjoyment including some of Atlanta’s great restaurants: Food 101, Meehan’s Public House, Fox Bros. BBQ and more. Beverage stations, street trucks and other festival food favorites will be throughout the site including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

There are three gate entrances into the festival grounds:

  • The Park Drive Gate is available to attendees coming from Monroe and Park Drives.
  • The Lake Side Gate is accessible at the 12th and 14th street entrances into Piedmont Park (Patrons can enter the park at the base of Oak Hill near the lake).

Festival promoters have worked to provide an easy and enjoyable experience for every patron. Handicap parking is available in surrounding pay and private lots of the festival site. The far right lane at every gate will be ADA accessible. There will be areas at both stages for any and all ADA issues. They are accessible to those with disabilities as well a ticketed companion. There will be seating and ADA accessible bathrooms for their exclusive use. We also will be providing LED screens that will provide image enhancement for both stages.

Each patron is allowed to bring in one factory-sealed bottle of water, or, one empty reusable water bottle or Camelback. Non-professional recording point and shoot photography equipment, towels and blankets will be permitted.

We love our festival neighbors. We are moving in for the weekend and want them to feel the same about us. PLEASE be respectful of them and their property at all times during the festival.
