On the heels of a successful year that saw a surge of new leasing activity, Westside Provisions District recently announced in a press release a major addition of square footage and a handful of other physical changes to the district coming in 2013.
These additions come as the popular shopping and dining destination, an innovative mixed-use development located in west Atlanta built amid a former industrial complex on Howell Mill Road, has grown into one of the city's more frequented destinations for retail and dining.
- Approximately 14,000 square feet of additional prime retail space off Howell Mill Road
- Inviting mezzanine spaces and outdoor areas
- 95 new parking spaces
- A newly graded and paved parking lot
- Improved driveway aprons
- Improved exterior lighting in the North End parking lot.
In the release, Michael Phillips, COO of Jamestown, one of the real estate developers behind the district, along with Tucker Mott, said, “2012 has been an unprecedented year for retail leasing at Westside Provisions District. We’ve been gratified to welcome new national and local boutique retailers to our community, and have helped to grow existing tenants as their businesses flourish. These new additions are an exciting step in the ongoing evolution of WSPD.”
The district, already home to popular purveyors, such as Sid Mashburn, Billy Reid and Room & Board, saw the addition or expansion of six nationally acclaimed retailers in 2012. Additional retail leases are likely to be announced in early 2013.
"We are excited to bring additional quality retailers to WSPD as well as improved parking which benefits both our tenants and clientele, " Kathleen Walker, owner of Tucker Mott, said in the release.
