THE JIMMY DURANTE ABUSED AND SICK CHILDREN'S BENEFIT EVENT

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Atlanta Aerie 714 will be hosting this event. Money raised through the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund and Child Abuse Fund are one of the Eagle's greatest achievements.

The fund was named in honor of Jimmy Durante, one of the Eagle's most beloved human beings and an active life-member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Jimmy entertained without charge at fourteen consecutive Grand Aerie International Conventions and at many other Eagle gatherings until his death in 1980. Because of Jimmy's gentle and kind manner, the children's fund was named after him in 1966. All money raised for the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund or Child Abuse Fund is returned to that state or province in the form of grants to children-helping organizations of the state's choosing. 

MARK MERCHANT, Ventriloquist will entertain you with his very funny show. Mark’s first gig as a ventriloquist was on a USO tour for American service personnel at bases all over Europe. A 33-year career in comedy has traversed from cruises to casinos and corporate events. Atlantic City Magazine awarded him “Best Variety Act” for his performance. Mark’s time on stage features material fresh as the news headlines and political humor with something for all. Never partisan, he entertained for leaders as varied as Pres Jimmy Carter and Governor Sarah Palin. Valley Magazine reviewed Mark’s act, “Clever, edgy and so funny we were wiping the tears from our eyes with cocktail napkins.”

The Reno-Gazette commented, “This is politically incorrect and makes fun of its own political incorrectness by pointing out the ridiculous nature of that term. He and his friends are a talented and good humored team!”
When not entertaining on cruises or corporate events with Zelda, Alonzo, Wing Tip Shu.,Mark enjoys time at home in Stone Mountain, Georgia with his lovely wife Cindy and their ten year old girl, Nixie, who has four legs and lots of fur and loves her Michael Vick chew toy.
Mark Merchant's show is custom tailored to the individual audience with names of prominent audience members woven into the routine in a clever and funny way.

This event is opened to the Public. Mark your calendar and make your reservations now so you don't miss out on the best event of the year. Dinner will be prepared by Chef Ryan with service given to you by our very special servers and bus boys. There will be a 50/50 drawing at 10 pm along with the drawing for our Raffle of the night. A ticket for the raffle will be submitted with your reservation. 

Tickets are $25 pp $40 a couple.
