Director of Radiation Oncology Named at DeKalb Medical

Director of Radiation Oncology Named at DeKalb Medical

DeKalb Medical has hired Michael Folk, M.M., R.T.(T) as its new Director of Radiation Oncology. Folk joins DeKalb Medical with over 25 years experience as a radiation therapist and administrator in radiation oncology and oncology service lines in hospital and freestanding centers. He holds a Master of Management in Healthcare Administration from Cambridge College and Associate of Radiation Therapy and Associate of Health Science from Gwynedd Mercy College.   

Folk’s goals for his department include active pursuit of national accreditation, and with top-notch quality, compassion, the latest technology and commitment to customer service it will be the place of choice for people to come for cancer care.

Folk held director positions at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass. and Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Fl.; was Regional Director of Northeast and Southeast Cancer Center Services for The US Oncology Network in Houston, TX; and was most recently Director of Radiation Oncology for Redwood Regional Medical Group in Santa Rosa, Calif.
