Man: I Was Carjacked at Gunpoint in Target Parking Lot

The 34-year-old victim told police he was giving a ride to two other men when they stole his car early Tuesday morning.

Man: I Was Carjacked at Gunpoint in Target Parking Lot

A Tucker man said he thought he was shuttling two men between nightclubs early in the morning on New Year's Day but found himself standing in front of Target on North Druid Hills Road after the passengers carjacked him at gunpoint, DeKalb County police said.

The 34-year-old victim said two men approached him at an unknown nightclub and asked him to drive them to another club, according to the police report. The man agreed, and, as he was driving them, the men asked him to pull over in front of the Target at the intersection of North Druid Hills and Briarcliff roads at about 4 a.m.

One of the suspects put his hands over the victim's eyes, put a gun to his neck and demanded everything he had, the report said. The victim said he surrendered his wallet, his cell phone and the keys to his 2007 Honda Accord. When the victim got out of the car, the suspects chased him with the vehicle.

The victim called police an hour later, and the responding officer noted that the victim's description of the suspects – and how many there were – changed several times throughout the interview.
