Weekend Spotlight: Black History Month Celebrations

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy family fun and meet a former student of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This week's Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Weekend & Community Spotlight features the Black History Month Celebration at the Smyrna Public Library.

Enjoy two exciting programs and light refreshments for children, families and adults at the free event sponsored by the City of Smyrna and the Friends of the Smyrna Library.

On Saturday, Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. to noon, the library will host a storytelling program for children and families, featuring the Cobb Cluster of the Southern Order of Storytellers, the Kuumba Storytellers, and the youth Tattle Tales group.

On Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2-4 p.m., a special program for adults will feature two speakers, Robin Washington Banks and Charles Black.

For more information, please call 770-431-2860 or visit www.smyrna-library.com.
