City Council to Decide on Wesleyan's Expansion Plans

On Tuesday night's agenda council to consider approving the private Peachtree Corners school's request to expand onto property currently Zoned R-100 and other items.

The Peachtree Corners City Council will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the new city hall at 147 Technology Parkway.

On the agenda:

Community Development Director, Diana Wheeler, will update the City Council on several planning issues.

In old business council to:

Consider adopting the 2013 Council Meeting Calendar (deferred from Nov. 27 meeting)

Consider adopting a solid waste program for commercial sanitation (not residential) which will allow the city to collect 3 percent of haulers gross revenue which is now collected by the county, (deferred from Nov. 27 meeting).

Consider Buford Highway business owner Amer Habib's request for change in conditions to remove a permit deadline and reduce required buffer from 25 to 15 feet.

Consider a second Buford Highway business owner's request for a special use permit for Salem Leasing Corporation truck sales and leasing business currently zoned M-1.

Consider approving Wesleyan School's (located on Spalding Drive) request for two special use permits in a R-100 Zoning District to expand the school's tennis courts and athletic fields.

In new business council will:

Consider an Intergovernmental Agreement with Gwinnett County for hotel and motel tax.

Consider approving the bid award for the city's Comprehensive Plan.

Consider authorizing the City Manager and staff to allow a 60-day grace period for all business and alcohol license renewals for those that expire on Dec. 31, 2012 to extend licenses to March 1, 2013.

In other business:

Discussion of procedure for City recognition
