Peachtree Corners Business Association Now Forming
The new business group will start meeting regularly beginning January 2012.
The Peachtree Corners community has a lot of exciting things going on these days. Aside from the passing of the recent referendum to incorporate as a city, a new business association has been formed.
Citing the need to help businesses connect and speak with one voice, a group of 27 businessmen and women met to discuss the creation of the Peachtree Corners Business Association. Bert Nasuti, partner with Thompson, Kemp, OβBrien & Nasuti, hosted the organizational meeting on Oct. 12.
The meeting was opened by Mike Mason, President of the (UPCCA).

βIt has been a long-time hope of UPCCA to help establish a business association for the community," said Mason. "This is long overdue but just in time to provide business input into the opportunities and challenges facing Peachtree Corners.β
James Welch, President of Bottom Line Business Consulting, Inc. and a resident of Peachtree Corners since 1995, spoke about the plans he envisioned to bring this group to reality.

βBusiness leaders need to have a way to connect and support one another. This can only make the community stronger,β said Welch.
Mark Lackey with Atlanta Housing Source presented details on the basic structure of other successful business associations in Gwinnett and North Fulton.
βThere are several local business associations that very generously shared their successful models as well as some sage advice about the key roles, time commitments, and expectations of the leadership,β said Lackey.
The businessmen and women in attendance represented attorneys, hotels, manufacturers, commercial services, insurance, real estate development, printing, restaurants, retail and technology.
With just under 5,000 businesses in Peachtree Corners, the group is eager to add more members to represent the breadth of the Peachtree Corners business community.
The inaugural meeting is planned for early January 2012 and all Peachtree Corners business owners/managers are invited to attend. At this meeting, the PCBA Nominating Committee will present the nominees and recommended candidates for each position.
After election of officers, the new President and Board will begin the process of creating a meeting schedule and attracting new members. The nominating committee chair is Dawn Adams of CEO Business Centers; committee members are Aaron Lupuloff of Sterne Agee & Leach, Inc.; Debbie Dykes of ; Erica Dumpel of Czajkowski Dumpel Associates, Inc., and Barbara Nolan of FastSigns.
