Georgia State Senator John Albers of Roswell will join the Rotary Club of Roswell on Thursday to honor veterans who participated in the Roswell Rotary Honor Air Program.
Albers will honor the group, made up of mostly World War II veterans, during the rotary lunch that starts at noon.
Each year, this program sponsors a complimentary day trip for veterans to visit the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.
Albers, a Roswell Rotarian, was present at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on April 2 to offer personalized letters of commendation to these former service members before their departure to the nation's capital.
During the lunch, the Roswell Rotary Club will feature a video from this year’s trip and host an open forum for veterans and other attendees to share their experiences.
