Car Catches Fire Inside North Fulton Hospital Parking Deck

ROSWELL, GA — A car was damaged Monday afternoon when it caught fire inside the WellStar North Fulton Hospital parking deck, the Roswell Fire Department said on its Facebook page.

Crews with the Roswell and Alpharetta fire department responded to the fire June 25 on the third level of the deck at 4500 Hospital Boulevard. They arrived to find the fire to the passenger vehicle "fully involved," the agency added.

Crews were able to act quickly to douse the blaze to avoid further damage to the structure and nearby vehicles, Roswell fire said on its Facebook page.

"These can very dangerous in nature since the toxic fumes are trapped between the parking levels," Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported, said Roswell fire spokesperson Capt. Pabel Troche.
