Fire Damages Used Car Business In Roswell

The cause of the fire at SMZ Auto remains under investigation.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Fire Department is investigating a fire that damaged a used car lot Sunday evening.

Firefighters with the agency were dispatched to a call of a fire around 10 p.m. Sunday, April 2 to SMZ Auto at 10775 Houze Road.

Roswell Deputy Fire Chief Paul Piccirilli said a small building on the property suffered minor damage, and multiple vehicles were also torched in the blaze. Piccirilli added that building that took a hit in the fire was used for storage on the property.

No one was injured and the cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
