Roswell Celebrates Opening Phase 4 of River Boardwalk
The city will host a ribbon cutting on Friday, Dec. 16.

ROSWELL, GA -- On Friday, the city of Roswell will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Phase 4 of its Riverwalk project, a multi-purpose greenway that runs along the Chattahoochee River.
The city's event will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.
Roswell's project dates back to 2000 when citizens approved a bond referendum that included funding for the city to build a seven-mile greenway along the river to include parks, trails and other recreational and educational amenities.

Since that time, Roswell has completed the first three phases of Riverwalk, which included a path through Riverside, Don White and Azalea parks to Willeo Road.
The fourth phase adds roughly 1 mile to the greenway, which runs parallel to the river from Azalea Drive just at the point where the road curves off at the river, and extending to the Chattahoochee Nature Center.
