Recent grants totaling $75,000 from the Coca Cola Foundation benefit Sandy Springs students.

Sandy Springs-based Junior Achievement of Georgia received a $25,000 grant to support ongoing economic and financial literacy programming for more than 650 middle and high school students in Georgia.

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School received $50,000, which will provide tuition assistance for students recruited through A Better Chance, an organization that matches talented students with independent and public schools.

“We have received grants from Coke previously, but this is the largest grant to date,” said Keith White, HIES director of community outreach. “This grant will help us attract gifted students of color with diverse backgrounds.”

These grants are part of more than $26 million awarded by the Foundation in the first quarter to organizations across the globe, including 13 other Atlanta organizations, an announcement said.
