Eight of SSEF’s 2015 STEM grant recipient schools also exhibited. The Showcase broke previous attendance numbers: it was viewed by more than 1,000 students during the day, and over 500 community members in the evening.

Sponsorships nearly doubled from last year, which will enable SSEF to offer STE(A)M grants to all 11 Sandy Springs public schools next year.

The popular annual event is part of SSEF’s multi-faceted outreach program designed to challenge, inspire and support Sandy Springs public school students’ pursuit of STEM education and careers.

In 2014 and 2015, SSEF’s showcase was awarded first place an unprecedented two years in a row at the annual STEM Education Awards of Georgia, sponsored by the Technology Association of Georgia and the TAG Education Collaborative.
