South Cobb's Hollman Signs to Waycross College

The South Cobb senior point guard signed to play at Waycross College on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Chris Hollman, a senior point guard for , signed to continue to his playing career at Waycross College, home of the Swampfoxes.

"This is a huge accomplishment for Chris as Waycross College is one of top junior colleges, winning 27 games this past season as well as winning the GCAA tournament (and) earning them a trip to the NJCAA tournament," South Cobb boys' basketball head coach, Coach Kris Watkins stated in a release.

Hollman will be playing for Head Coach Cory Baldwin, who Watkins assisted at Truett-McConnell College.

Hollman started every game during his junior and senior seasons, and he averaged nine points and six assists per game in this last season.

“We are very excited to have Chris join our program. I have been able to watch his game grow and mature over the last few seasons, and I think he has the potential to be a very good player at our level,”  said Baldwin.

His high school coaches certainly believe that to be true. They selected him as Most Valuable Player this year.

Coach John Kelly, associate South Cobb head coach, said, “Chris has truly worked extremely hard this spring, taking no time off since the end of the season, and he is a kid that I believe truly deserves this.”
