Notice that huge new building going up on Satellite Boulevard near Old Peachtree Road/I-85 in Suwanee?
That's the new Mitsubishi Electric headquarters.
Ground was broken in January on the company's new headquarters, and now the structure is well on the way to completion.

Currently, most of the operations are located on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road near Satellite Boulevard.
However, Lisa Ward of IDI Developers said Tuesday (October 23) that the new 550,000 square foot structure should be occupied in February or March 2013. About 60,000 square feet will be used for office space.
Governor Nathan Deal and Gwinnett Chamber VP Nick Masino led the groundbreaking in January, which also was attended by Gwinnett Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash.
"Nick (Masino, a Suwanee resident) does a good job attracting business to Gwinnett County, but he doesn't get as much publicity for the people he keeps here," noted Jay Mitchell of IDI at the groundbreaking.
Mitsubishi Electric needed larger facilities, and was willing to look elsewhere for growth before settling on the 33-acre site in unincorporated Suwanee.
