New Metro Area Walmart Decides Not to Sell Rifles - Cascade Patch
As the Historic Westside Village Walmart on Martin Luther King Drive continues its opening celebration, community members expressed their joy to see that no guns will be sold at "our Walmart."
The Walmart Corp. quickly decided to stop selling the Bushmaster Assault Rifle on its world-wide website days after the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, in which a young man killed a large number of elementary school children in Connecticut using that exact gun.

Sheriff Expresses Disgust That Sandy Hook Used to Promote Gun Control - Douglasville Patch
Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller says he has written letters to the president, vice president, congressmen, and to the state delegation, voicing disgust for the use of the events at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., to promote gun control.
In a message on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Miller wrote, "I will fight in every way that I know how to make sure that our rights as citizens are not violated by the Federal Government or our State Government."
